Walter Payton signature

How about thoughts on this Walter Payton I received as a gift years ago from a co-worker?  It's been hanging on my wall for a long time.  I'm not a football fan, so I don't really have any opinion on it.  What are your thoughts?

It doesn't look right to me. Specifically the 34. His autograph has a lot of fluidity to it. The W looks right but the P and the 34 seem forced. 

Here is one I got in person in 1993. Unfortunately, it is faded.

That is a beautiful piece. I remember watching him play at Soldier's Field as a kid.

Thanks. The 3 in 34 is what was throwing me, too. The signature itself looks pretty decent to me, but the number was off. I didn't know if it was perhaps just an atypical example.
