fantastic pieces dude

NICE! I was a Cubby fan for a long time, Ryno is also one of my favs of all-time.

Got two cool pieces recently;

Another Jeter ball:

Current "Holy Grail" of my hockey collection, a game used Gretzky stick:

How do you know it's game used? Did you photo match it? From that particular angle, it doesn't look used, since there aren't any marks on the blade...

Had a few experts tell me it's game used and there are markings along the shaft. There are a few nicks on the blade that show game use as well.

It must be nice to have access to experts to show the item to in person rather than having to rely upon people online looking at pictures trying to guess at use. :)

Yeah :P

I had a friend who is familiar with game used sticks look at it in person and he said its good after I bought it. Also had a hockey game used expert look at it over photos I sent him (of use, the date stamps, name stamp, flex stamp, gripper, etc) and he told me it was good. Finally, had the owner of the world's largest private (and probably in general) Gretzky collection look at the stick through photos and he gave me the thumbs up.

I'm honestly surprised at the extent to which people helped me out. I sent out e-mails and literally had responses within five minutes which turned into long conversations.

As for photo matching, it's nearly impossible with Gretzky sticks.

the only new thing in my collection is not an autograph, is jut a new sharpie to get autographs jajaj. Metallica will play here in argentina 29 and 30 of this month. maybe I can get an autograph (complicated). I think that they will arrive the day before and make the soundcheck that night. Only posibilities watching the calendar. and I wanna get some football players autograph.
