It healed the Maris wounds very well Mr.Zipper...and I might say even better then just 1photo...thanks guys...its in a great home now to be cherished forever !!!!

CEE, what Maris wounds?

I was in a bidding frenzy for a Maris signed photo like the same exact image of the one you got ttm personalized...iam assuming it was a ttm as well and it was personalized with my name on it and certified by JSA....I wound up selling a bunch of prized possessions to get it but it topped out over 800 bucks and I just couldn't get it...it killed me to know one actually exists...but I then used the money I made in sales and got the ball...but I was really aiming to own both...but I think if I had a choice between the 2 I think I love the ball much more then just a signed photo...I can't belive it got that high with a name on it....I was willing to go pretty deep on it...and if it wasn't for Christmas I would have most certainly owned both...but it was just bad timing...

oh man, that sucks.  Maris is one of those signatures that actually doesn't seem to lose much, in fact, it may even add to the value because it helps validate the authenticity. i had a very similar situation not too long ago, where there was a munson signed ball, PERSONALIZED with my name, and min bid was 500 dollars.  a steal for a munson signed ball.  but I figured since it was personalized, I could get it cheaper, so when it didn't sell on auction, I wrote the guy an email making him an offer, and he never got back to me.  I think you can still pick up Maris on a card or 3x5 for around 400, though.

I wouldn't mind a Maris personalization either. Makes it a no-doubter. Too bad CEE GEE... I was rooting for you!

If I won every piece I ever lost out on I would need to rent a storage unit...LOL

you wouldn't be able to afford to rent one!!!  LOL

I recieved this off the eBay. It is a holiday present for my father. Though, I have been playing the records to my entertainment.

Nice one Stipe.  And you got Epperson's ok on it if I remember correctly.  Your dad should love it.

Thank you, Sir. Yes, Epperson was kind enough to give it a nod - Chris Sink also provided me with an index card to compare it to, as well. My father remembers when Johnny B. Goode and Sweet Little Sixteen were released, so he will be looking at it in a nostalgic sort of way.

Though I dread Christmas music (expect for Bing Crosby and Gene Autry), I do get quite a kick out of giving presents.

Its no doubt a real one!Nice!!

I dig your Thayill.
