Very nice! Kudos.

Ask Boston fans about the “legendary” Bucky Dent. LOL  ;-)

just playing for the yankees makes you a legend. You must be a cubs fan Mike ;)

To even mention the Arizona Diamondbacks in the same passage as the Yankees shows your lack of wisdom.

Mariano Rivera is the greatest relief pitcher of all time – there simply no way to rationally deny it. Rivera Saves/Opportunity = 89.3%. Hoffman 88.7%. Rivera pitches in a league with much better hitters.

Hoffman postseason ERA = 8.53. Rivera Postseason ERA = 0.7.  Rivera = five World Series rings including MVP.

Case closed.

I was just getting ready to ask who the diamondbacks were.

They were the team that beat the Yanks in the 2001 World Series.

it's not hard to win when you can just buy the players you need.

Didn’t the D-Backs do that in 2001 with Schilling and Johnson… you know the only year you ever won anything?

It doesn’t matter whether Hoffman’s teams sucked or not. Rivera has more saves per opportunity. This statistic equalizes the “sucky team” factor. And this whole nonsense about the “year that mattered” is absurd. Maybe it’s the year that mattered to YOU because it’s the ONLY WS the Diamondbacks have won. LOL

When they pile up 27 more, you can come back to me crowing.

LOL...oh Mike your comments are great...as far as the Yankees go YES there NOT all legends...but as far as there bank roll goes YES they can buy MOST any player...but didn't get anyone this year and made no moves since then to acquire a new arm or bat...

and as far as needing to win well hey every team that goes out there every season NEEDS TO WIN IT ALL wouldn't you say so ?

And not for any ONE reason and or ONE season...

Ripping into Rivera ? with a bloop single is just how it worked out for the D-Backs to win it ALL in game seven I would HARDLY call that RIPPING...LOL...I WOULD SAY KIM TOOK MORE OF A BEATING NOT BEING ABLE TO CLOSE 2 games in a row.....hmmmmmmm...LOL...everyone got the right to defend there team in any and all ways...My hats off to the D-Backs for playing the way they did in 2001 which I was there to witness in person in GAME 5...

But as far as being a fan goes I have been very fortunate to have been to ruffly 45 or MORE post season games and to the World Series 4 separate occasions in the last 15 out of 16 seasons...and to 4 ticker tape parades...so being a Yankee Fan is very rewarding regarding in all aspects...there aint to many FANS of ANY TEAM in ANY SPORT from ANY CITY that can say that...despite where your from or what team you love...I am not the average COCKY fan as many Yankee fans are and LOVE baseball...not just the Yankees...so that being said...the one season the D-Backs had is just a drop in the bucket brother...
