Is this thing bogus? It must be right? It sold for $12,500.
I would've thought it would bring much more.

I've gone back and forth on this one. It's odd. At first, I thought it probably was not good but now I think that it could be. Beatles-signed albums auctioned in the US without Caiazzo, PSA/DNA, JSA or Epperson certification tend to bring a good bit less than the same piece with one of their COAs...or pre-certs at least. That could be one of the factors figuring into the price...plus the fact that it's not easy to authenticate.
I'm with you, Steve. However, many items don't come with the correct period snapshots and other paperwork, helping to give it some powerful credence. Perhaps more research would help clear things up. (PS - The other Beatles-signed lots in their listing appear authentic and had me drooling.)
The fact that only three Beatles have signed on the front and one on back greatly lowers the price for a signed album. Also, the LP condition is not the greatest with age spots and some of the signatures are a bit light. I think it went for a fair price.
