Just an opinion, but I do not like paint pen or Silver Sharpie. Blue on a blonde bat displays the best. It is also my opinion more collectors prefer Blue on blonde bats, so there is more potential resale value should you wish to sell someday.
By the way, I would never use paint pen. They take a long time to dry, they tend to blob up and I have had several pieces ruined because part of the paint pen signature did not adhere and simply came off the item.
Silver Sharpie is supposed to be more reliable than paint pen, but as someone else stated, they can be streaky or weak.
My Cano bat is black/silver as well. It appears it was signed with silver sharpie, not paint pen.
An artist who does a lot of framing of signed items once told me that paint pen never truly dries. Under certain storage conditions, it can actually get tacky again.
