WHY DO SOME CELEBRITIES MAKE IT SO DIFFICULT TO GET THEIR AUTOGRAPH?

I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR AN AUTOGRAPH BY DAVID CROSBY {OF THE BAND CROSBY,STILLS & NASH} AND I WAS ABLE TO FIND SOME AUTOGRAPHS BY HIM, BUT NOT AS MANY AS THE OTHER 2 GUYS IN THE BAND. ALSO I WAS INTERESTED IN GETTING AN AUTOGRAPH BY BOB SEGER - BUT THAT ONE SEEMS EVEN MORE OUT OF REACH THAN  CROSBY'S! ===> DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THEY DON'T LIKE TO SIGN?

At some point you aren't going to hold onto these things forever- get what you love.
I had an interesting experience two weeks ago. I am a huge Dodgers fan, and after the game I randomly ran into Puig, and Hanley Ramirez walking down the street. I was the ONLY person within 100 yards, and I ran up and asked for an autograph from each on a ball I had. They both looked up and completely ignored me. I was shocked. I followed them to a bar, and offered to buy them a drink. Once they realized I wasn't after an autograph, they became friendly and I ended up partying with them til 3 am. I had a ball signed by Magic Johnson, Mattingly, Kershaw, and Carl Crawford that I actually left in the cab on accident. (Puig paid for the cab to the next club.) Obviously I'm pretty bummed about the ball, but how many people can say they partied with Puig all night? I'd trade the ball for that again in an instant. At the end of the day, it's just a ball with ink on it, albeit a pleasant surprise for whoever got in that cab after me!

Cool story Ryan, sounds like a blast!!!

Great story Ryan.

yes..great story! =]

In the early 2000s, I got Crosby's autograph at the NAMM show - he was signing CPR live CDs as I recall at an exhibitor's booth. Gave it to a friend who loves CSN (not my taste in music). He seemed more than happy to sign at the time, but then again, the exhibitor gave everyone in line a CPR disc and he wouldn't sign anything else, so I guess it was more a case that he was happy to get the word out there about his pet project, not to sign per se.
