Would you add Pattie Boyd to a Slowhand LP that is already signed by Clapton?

Thanks for your input :)

No from me. Perhaps a smaller audience. YMMV :)

Yes. Especially because "Wonderful Tonight" I believe...was written involving her (going to the party, etc). I think to some people, it loses value, but to others, it increases it. I think, if anything, it increases it. Here's why. First, she is known. It's like Yoko signing a Lennon solo album. Now, it would be different if you had a Blue Oyster Cult album, and the singers wife signed it. Yet...if you had a Rolling Stones album, and Mick Jagger and Bianca signed it -- that is cool.

Hi A.B.  Personally I would not.  I would only want Eric's signature on it.  Slowhand is one of Eric Clapton's premier works of art.  Fair enough that Pattie is the subject matter of one of his songs, but she is not an artist who played on the album.  I would not add her or anyone else including any of the artists who actually played on the album.  It's an iconic work of art. Eric Clapton signed only for me.

+1 and they would be incongruous in signing date which to me is a very big thing.

And the risk - what if she signed in a distractive manner or not where you wanted etc? What if her signature had better contrast than the Eric?

Yes, I agree Eric. You make some very good points. Also, I would add that it is likely that the Eric signed album may have to be mailed or shipped somewhere to have it signed by Pattie. This would not be a risk I would be willing to take. Both from a potential loss or shipping damage perspective.

If it's for you and you want it, definitely, matched in period pen. If it's not for you, get it in the same pen if you don't mind it taking longer to sell for great money. Otherwise, just Clapton.

Thanks for your comments everyone...appreciate it :)
