Hi,Can you help? Are these authentic autographs?Particularly interested in the Payne Stewart.ThanksContinue
I noticed the "P" characteristic on many exemplars as well... I did post it over there, but I don't think too many people on here know golf autos, didn't get any responses. I think certain parts look shaky, and the "dots" are the tell tale. Unfortunately at this point I believe it is autopen... Although I've had people on another site tell me it is authentic.
Morning Ryan, Sorry this has taken so long to get posted :(
In my experience I have never come across Arnie's signature looking like this. There are several highly atypical aspects to the autograph you posted but, in particular, the formation of the "r", "n" and "d" of the first name simply do not correspond to the hand-signed items I have seen or obtained from the great man. Similarly, the spacing, formation and positioning of ALL of the letters - particularly the "l" - in the surname appear all wrong. In APs legit signature you will see the looping "l" that is nearly always (but not every time) up to and inside the loop of the "P". Sorry, but I would have to say that this is not authentic.
If you would like me to post some quick pics of Arnie's legit signature just let me know and I'll make some time to get that done for you.
All the best, David.
Hi David,
No need to post additional pictures, I've already looked at quite a few. I am about 99% sure it is AutoPen, and the machine slipped on the "L" which explains why it is just incredibly, incredibly off...
Bummer, but atleast I got *something* back I suppose...
G'day Mark, For what it is worth - over the years, I've seen a small number (about half a dozen) of these 'dedicated' signatures purportedly from Tiger. I'd have to say that in my experience Tiger has never been a great one for signing items received TTM and these signatures just don't pass muster for me. As I'm sure you are aware there have been loads of discussions on Tiger signature variants over the years of his career and you can find many of these on-line. Ultimately, if you are happy that this is legit and\or a nice keepsake then that is, I think, what is important. As for me, I'm sorry to say that I would not view it as having been completed by Tiger :(
There you go, my 2 cents worth and I hope that helps. All the best, David.
I appreciate you taking the time and looking at it David. Thanks for your opinion.

G'day Mark, absolutely my pleasure. All the best, David.
I had this flag autographed 2 weeks ago at the WGC Cadillac at Doral, FL. What a great experience it was. Some players were very nice in signing for their fans, while others not so much (*cough Ernie Els cough*). Anyway, this flag was signed by Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Bubba Watson, Lee Westwood, Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia, Keegan Bradley, Ricky Fowler, Ian Poulter, Michael Thompson, Marcus Fraser, Scott Pearcy, Jim Furyk, Justin Rose, Bo Van Pelt, Ryan Moore, Webb Simpson, Fernandez-Castaño, Charles Howell, Scott Jamison, John Huh, Russell Henley, & Michael Hendry.
G'day Jorge, Super flag & autograph collection well done. Some really great signatures too - Phil, Sergio, Adam, Rory, Bubba, Ian and BTW Michael Hendry was with us a couple of weeks ago as he successfully defended his NZPGA Championship over The Hills course - next door :) Goodonya and happy collecting. All the best, David.
