I personally don't like what I call dead autographs, (autographs with no Picture Proof Photos) (I don't trust any autograph that doesn't come with a Picture Proof Photo no matter what an authenticator says) but I find that most of the collectors on this site collect them and don't mind if it doesn't come with any proof and leaves it to trust of what an authenticator says it is.
Most of my dead autographs are on hero cards that I didn't want to waste the cost of film and development of a photo. what I didn't know was just how many dead autographs I have obtained until I started to inventory all my autographs.
I just looked at your soft ball, Nice!!! I have no idea what an authenticator will charge you to get it certified. It will probably cost you more than what you paid for the ball. Maybe they can give you a group rate on it.
