Ann Lennox, known as Annie Lennox (Aberdeen, 25 December 1954), is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, founder and member of the Eurythmics. In her career, which began in the late seventies, she has won four Grammys, eight Brit Awards and the Oscar for best song in 2004. She has been named the greatest living white soul singer by the VH1 television network and the Official Charts Company called her the most successful British artist in the history of UK music. Furthermore, Rolling Stone magazine placed her in 93rd place in the ranking of the best singers of all time.
