Met him at Hungry Ear Records in Hawaii on Record Store Day 2011. When I found out I'd be on vacation during RSD, I looked up Hawaiian shops so I could get some ltd. ed. vinyl, and discovered TR would be signing there because he was a local. So I brought my copy of "Something/Anything" all the way from NYC just so he could sign it. They were so surprised that someone would do that, that they had their photographer take this shot.

Hopefully you were smart and didn't say "We were on vacation here anyway." Nothing like making them think you flew there to see them.
I met Rundgren a few times. Always a sweetheart. When I asked him once how things were in NY, he said "I moved to Hawaii recently."
