It’s been a pretty productive fall for adding to my music collection.
The middle of September, George Thorogood came to town. He did his usual wave to the crowd and went right to the bus. But his manager came over to the 8 or so fans that were there waiting and…Continue
Good day everybody,
I have been a long time collector of autographs. Mostly Disney hero's and old Hockey (I am from Canada). I bought a couple of books by John Lennon and about John yesterday at a thrift shop sale. The two that I wanted where "In his own Write" and "Spaniard in the Works". The others were trade paperbacks on his life. I opened Spaniard and was surprised to see the following autograph. With the assumption that everything is wrong till proven otherwise I would…Continue
I went to the George Thorogood / Brian Setzer co-headlining tour stop in New York City last night; both put on a great show. Autograph-wise, I was hoping to get Brian's signature on the two Stray Cats LPs that I have signed by Slim Jim Phantom and Lee Rocker already. Alas, that didn't happen—apparently he split as soon as his opening set was done—but I did get George, and it…Continue
Well, for the third time in approximately six months, Ebay has removed one of my listings.

Okay, so...that title might be a misleading, but it sounded catchy, didn't it?
Machete has come out, and it was as disappointing as I feared it would be. Great cast (gotta love Danny Trejo getting a lead part). The problem was--this worked as a funny, fake movie trailer in the movie Grindhouse. It doesn't work for almost two hours.
Anyway, I read a great story about Machete, the movie that's already grossed almost $30 million.
Danny Trejo, who has…Continue
A pretty funny and interesting documentary out right now. It's about a guy (John Rebney) that made some Winnebago commercials/instructional videos, and the outtakes became a huge internet sensation.
This because he was fond of getting mad and cursing. It was summer, and 100 degrees in Iowa, where the filming took place.
Anyway, at a film festival, he is asked to take pictures and sign autographs. But what is funny is, his best friend is driving him there, since…Continue

The last song on the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band record was A Day in the Life, written by John Lennon. It's considered by many the best song on the album.
In Rolling Stone Magazines list of 500 Great Songs of All Time, it was #26. And, in terms of handwritten lyrics, it's probably #1.
An American collecto paid $1.2 million for it at the Sotheby's auction. They had estimated it would get between 500,000 and $800,000.
It's on a…Continue
