TRACKS is now providing an auction service for Beatles autographs and memorabilia, which I think is cool. This will be the first auction they will do. I also read that they are still looking for consignments.

Nothing immediately jumps out at me as these being bad signatures and I know Tracks has a pretty good...ahem...track record. But just one thing...did Lennon do the Yoko caricature on items he signed during his "lost weekend?" At this point in December 1973, he was just a few months into the 18-month long lost weekend (aka his separation from Yoko). Just curious...

I hadn't seen any other John doodles from '73, but the ones I've seen from '74 are of John without Yoko.

Weighing in again, I just noticed these are scans for different LPs...I hadn't noticed the message saying the larger scan was for a different LP. Does it strike anyone as extremely odd that two LPs would have almost identical signatures on them...right down to the signature placements and doodles? (The only difference is that the Harrison and Starr are in different positions.) Not only would it be extremely hard to get all four Beatles signatures on this album after the group broke up, it would be next-to-impossible to duplicate the results on these two LPs unless they were obtained by the same person at the same time. The alternate explanation is that they could, of course, be forgeries.

It appears to me that the signatures were obtained on three different occasions. I believe that George and Ringo signed at the same time, hence the reversed placement of their signatures. They probably signed in the early 70's. Next, John signed both albums in December of '73. Finally, Paul signed both in '74. This is just my opinion.
