Ebay Removed My Derek Jeter 2001 Fleer Monumental Moments Autograph Card Listing Policy

Well, it looks like Ebay is now attacking those who are exposing forgeries listed on their website.

Obviously Ebay does not like the fact that I am exposing the forgeries that are listed by their scam sellers.

First, photos of my Derek Jeter "2001 Fleer Monumental Moments" autograph card numbered "85/95."

This is a Fleer issued Derek Jeter autograph card.

Below is the email I received:

After reviewing your eBay account, it appears that you have violated eBay's Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item policy. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
- Listings have been removed. A list of items that were removed can be viewed at the bottom of this message.
- We have credited all associated fees except for the final value fee for your listing(s).

The listing that was removed appeared to violate eBay policy or a rights owner's trademark. Please remember that you are responsible for the quality and authenticity of the products that you offer on eBay. It is against eBay policy to list any counterfeit items.

For more information please see our Replica, counterfeit items, and unauthorized copies policy:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/replica-counterfeit.html

Here are the factors we consider when we review your listing due to authenticity concerns:
-Your listing was brought to our attention by members of the community, who expressed concern with the authenticity of your item. When we receive a report we will investigate and make the most appropriate decision, keeping the interest of the community in mind.
-Insufficient description of the item. When creating a listing, keep your buyer in mind. Most buyers want to know the item's condition, size or dimension, etc.
-When there is a question about the authenticity of an autograph, we require that it has a certificate of authenticity from an approved authenticator. A list of approved authenticators can be found in our help pages.

Please be informed that we are committed to preventing the sale of unlawful goods on our platform. Kindly take note that this removal is not to question you as seller but to help you improve your future sales and make you a better member of the eBay community.

Please be sure your current and future listings follow these guidelines, keeping in mind that additional violations of this policy could result in the suspension of your account.

I am on the phone with Ebay right now.

I told them that this call better better be recorded.  I told the Ebay rep that there are thousands of forgeries on Ebay at any given time and yet someone at Ebay removed my authentic Derek Jeter "2001 Fleer Monumental Moments" autograph card because they are pissed at what I do.  I told them that Ebay better re-list my auction within the next 24 hours....

In the meantime, Ebay allowed and profited from the below piece-of-s**t Mickey Mantle forgery that sold.

I sincerely doubt eBay instigated this, Chris. They aren't that smart. It had to be done by an eBay EMR.

No doubt, Steve.  But, since an EMR is part of "Ebay," that makes Ebay responsible for their actions.

I'm sure someone over at Ebay was sending me a "message."

This is the second instance in a short time span of someone from these boards who has outed forgeries on eBay who has had legitimate auctions removed.

Pure speculation, but I agree with Steve C. My money is on there is a corrupt EMR in the mix.

Good items being removed as payback. Documented, mass-produced fakes that used to be removed all the time are now being protected.

Yup... there is a fox in the hen house.

No doubt about that, Mr. Zipper.  I have a good idea who it is.
