I always get a kick out of stories where one celebrity asks another for an autograph. The last blog I wrote dealt with Phil Collins and his bad experience asking Sir Paul McCartney for a signature. This latest story, worked out a lot better for the person requesting an autograph.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was caught on camera asking his rival -- Patriots QB Tom Brady for one of his game worn jerseys to put on his wall.

The clip was shown on “Inside the NFL”, in which Big Ben had a pregame conversation with the QB. He’s recovering from knee surgery and was in street clothes at the time.

Now, I would’ve been that smart ass that asked Brady to sign a football. Then I’d hand him a Sharpie and a flat football with no air in it.

Roethlisberger used that line that lots of adult autograph collectors use. The popular, “I’ve never done this before.”

This is fairly common among soccer players in other countries, but the first time I heard of it in America was when Michael Jordan and then Kobe Bryant, were retiring from their NBA careers.

Crap! Sorry about that.

Yes, he did give him the jersey after the game.
