The late night shows had a few good autograph stories. Tonight on Conan O’Brien, Friends actor Matthew Perry was talking about being shown at a hockey game and booed by the entire crowd. Later, a bunch of people surrounded him asking for autographs. He said “You guys booed me earlier.” He said that all of them said “Not me, I didn’t boo.”

The night before, Jimmy Fallon had Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. Fallon was telling a story about how they talked about lemons and other fruits at a party. The next party they were at, Richards smiled and pulled out a lemon and gave it to Fallon. Fallon asked him to autograph it. He showed the photo (it read “To Jimmy, One More, Keith.”).

Fallon then had preserves made from that and gave the jar to Richards. He had a few seeds taken out first, and planted them. He read up on how to get something to grow, and it was sprouting. He brought that in and Richards touched it. Fallon said “It’s now complete. It will grow so high now.” (no pun intended).

Richards said he better not blame him if it becomes a Jack and the Beanstalk situation.

It was kind of funny, but I couldn’t help but wonder – did Fallon keep the peel with the Keith Richards autograph?
