MICKEY MANTLE AUTHENTIC EXEMPLARS... READ ALL ABOUT IT!
I just wanted to post these here to see what Fudd the Lowly Mantle Collector can do to help stop the flood of forgeries into the market place. The goal is that we can all start educating ourselves before we buy. To see what a beautiful signature the Mick had, and to learn to distinguish it from the obvious forgeries at first glance. Something TTA, STAT, DREW MAX, GAI GLOBAL (Baker certs) My Favorite Players Reborn (Tony Podsada) & Christopher Morales can't seem to do....at all? You will almost never see a signature in this photo album collection that would match or come close to anything that has been certed by any of those guys. Maybe you'll find 1 in a 1000 if you're lucky. To tell the difference between what an original hand signed Photo by the Mick looks like vs. an obvious Fake at first glance is easy. Give it a try. It's Fun!
As has been told many times, The Mick made more in one signing than his dad did in 1 year. He felt obligated to his fans to give them a "work of art". He did this by signing on just the right spot for the particular photograph he was presented. The size of his signature was determined by how big the sweet spot was. He knew EXACTLY how to fit his signature in so it looked perfect. A thing of beauty really. Please note that these are not all the same signature over and over, but merely a sample from my collection. What I do know is that these are consistent with the WAY Mantle signed and structured his Autograph as we know it. Good luck! FUDD

not for 13 beans!!!!!!! OUCH (LOL). Fudd the "Cheap Skate" Lowly Mantle collector would like to buy that at auction for $300-$500 tops.

yeah dude...some people think there pieces are worth way more them they should...it is nice but I wouldn't pay that either..

It has make an offer... sometimes you can get a significantly lower price. That said, I doubt they'd be willing to go down as far as $500. :-)

The Mantle autograph on that 16x20 is more than 6-inches long, and it's beautifully signed and placed. Something like that's not worth near a grand at least? How often do you see something like that?

AGREED...5-$600 TOPS ON THAT PIECE....IT IS JUST BEAUTIFUL I MIGHT ADD...A 16X20 ALSO CARRY A BIT OF A PREMIUM BUT I AM CERTAIN WITH IT WAS ORIGINALLY SIGNED IF IT WAS SIGNED FREE IT COULD NOT HAVE COST MUCH OVER $100 AT THE TIME

Sellers always seem to ask crazy prices for 16 x 20s. Certainly they are less common, but in my view, they are also less desirable. Difficult to store and expensive to frame and takes up a lot of wall space.

I would say a 16x20 is a sweet piece if you have an extremely large amount of wall space or if that is your only piece your looking to own...something to hang over your bed or television...most of the time if your married or living with your lady they would much rather have family and vacation pictures hanging on the walls instead of 3 16x20's of signed picture of Mantle Dimaggio and Williams...LOL...at least in my case...hahaha

Tell me with a straight face that a big, beautifully signed Mantle like that isn't worth the wall space if you live in a pup tent.
