I'm not good at checking authenticity unless they are really off. If it is real it is a wonderful piece.
Press Pass strictly buys from autograph hounds. Some of them sell him bad stuff, it doesn't pass PSA, he just sends it to JSA who seem to pass really bad stuff for them. In this case, this is 100% real and was likely signed on the coming up your (I think it was called that) and maybe even in Utah because I saw him signed for 20 people there in a new black sharpie and he added Cheers to everything. He didn't do that anywhere else I was able to get info from.
Here is a recent auction. It was offered a couple of days somewhere else on ebay and now relisted by a different seller. This is a good FAKE. If you look closely you spot a part that Paul never writes like this and that is evident on many autographs originally coming from the UK and supposed to be signed at LIPA events in Liverpool. But also false...http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAUL-MCCARTNEY-AUTHENTIC-SIGNED-BEATLES-SGT...
Thorsten, Are you referring to the formation of the "a"?
I wouldn't buy this. Too many atypical features. The 'Cheers' doesn't look at all right to me.
I've seen similar spacing between the "r" and "s". Aside from that, "Cheers" looks pretty typical to me.
PS The Please Please Me LP looks good to me (even nowadays those short ones are easy to fake)
I have started a new thread http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/paul-mccartney-peppe...
