Linda - please let us know who the experts were that you used.
I did post my Lennon autograph here some weeks ago. I don't want to upset anyone, so before I listed names of who said what (as far as the professionals go), I would like some guidance on this -- what do people think?
Linda - I would go back and update your original thread http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/john-lennon-autograp... with the results and the "beatle experts" you cite. Whether or not you choose to release their names it's upto you but perhaps helpful regardless of who commented on the above thread regarding authenticity.
The best Beatles expert is Frank Caiazzo (www.beatlesautographs.com) - unfortunately nearly ruined by a sleazy operator. It's amazing how the thieves thrive and the honest guys get pasted.
I did contact Frank Caiazzo, but he said he is too busy to authenticate my one item.
Whaaaatttt????
That makes no sense.
For the most part, Caiazzo isn't providing independent authentication services for the public at this time.
I don't want to chase you off the site Linda, but that ball is just a horrible known forgery. Telling the guy to "keep it" is just plain stupid and moronic. Not that you are, just your advice. Maybe your dad was ripped off too and his fake williams looks the same as that one. The Mantle is so bad, it makes me want to puke. It should make you puke too Linda. Maybe your dad has a couple of fake Mantles for you to compare it to. HORRIBLE ADVICE Linda
