I'm sure we've ALL had regrets on Selling (or Trading) certain Autographs from Our Collection's!!! => So what are Some of the Autographs that you could kick Yourself for Parting with, & Why?
=> I would say that the (2) Bob Hope signatures that I can't find (after moving to a new home) would be my # 1 pet peeve! ,An Art Garfunkel signed in person,A Willie Nelson signed pickguard, & I'm sure there are more for me (that I can't remember) but I would be curious to see what everyone out there has to say!!
I've really never had any regrets on an autograph I have sold. Although I have kicked myself many times for not buying one I really liked.
Back in the early 1980’s, I had a beautiful 8x10 signed by Jesse Owens. Wish I had kept that one.
Not really. Maybe one.
I knew Johnny Ramone in the 1980's. He gave me a Ramones LP signed by the original band. Sold it after he moved to L.A. when they were all still alive...
I met Mick Jagger backstage at an Elton John concert in 1986. All I had for him to sign was a blank 3"x5" index card. He signed it while Elton started playing Funeral For a Friend. Didn't think I'd ever display it so...
And I met Tony Gwynn, before a game he gave me one of his bats. Had him sign it a year later. A few years later I stopped collecting baseball memorabilia so...
I sold a Marilyn Monroe signed postcard a client owned that I should have bought for myself. I'm not framing new stuff so I passed, but I should have bought it.
I bet! I would feel the same way on that one, for sure!
