Walter Johnson Signed Autographed Postcard(s) Drew Max AAU FDE Authentic Or Forgery

Just recently on Ebay, one seller ($1gem) listed four Walter Johnson signed postcards.

Ebay seller $1gem listed four Walter Johnson signed postcards.  One already sold for $487.00.  The other three are presently (May 21, 2012) listed on Ebay.

Below are photographs of all four Walter Johnson signed postcards.  All four were authenticated by Drew Max, who calls himself a Forensic Document Examiner (FDE).  I also found it interesting that all four LOAs from Drew Max are dated Jan. 6, 2012.

In my opinion, none of the Walter Johnson signed postcards are authentic.  In my opinion, these are pathetic attempts to emulate Walter Johnson's signature.   I would like to know what type of forensic examinations Drew Max performed to come to the conclusion that the four Walter Johnson signed postcards are authentic?  Like a friend of mine commented "What a waste of nice postcards."

Here are the four Walter Johnson signed postcards which, in my opinion, are not authentic.

I found it interesting that all four LOAs are dated Jan. 6, 2012.

Here are close-ups of all four signatures.

Forensic examiners are often found at the scene of a crime.

I dont know about these but I think the last few things he authenticated on pawn stars looked like good calls?

Through his big giant magnafying glass he forensically noticed there was a $50 bill for each signature. Enough for him to conclude with his opinion that these were genuine.

That's a good one, Rick.

it is eery how close those signatures are to each other.  if he authenticated them all the same day, wouldn't he have picked up on that?

You would think forensic analysis would be a time consuming process. These 4 Johnson's I would think would take time researching just the items they are signed on. ...date postcards made, paper, ink...etc.

Drew has a very strange habit of going hog wild on particular days. Like his marathon certification of a hundred Muhumad Ali signatures in a single day. If he worked an 8 hour day that is authenticating one every 4.8 minutes. No way. He's so good with every known signature that he can say they are good with just a quick glance. Yeah right. He's up there with the worst of them.

Absolutely correct, Terrier.  All penned by the same hand and it wasn't Walter Johnson's hand that penned them.

Here are a couple Walter Johnsons that just sold at the Sportscards Plus auction. Both certed by PSA/DNA and/or JSA:

I agree with terrier8HOF, you would think the authenticator would have caught them.

Rick, from what I can see, the only forensic tool that Drew Max uses is that Hubble-sized magnifying glass.

I once contacted numerous forensic examiners to get their rates and they are not cheap. The ones I spoke to were very busy. The least expensive FDE that I contacted quoted, me $700.00 to examine one Abraham Lincoln cut signature. They want nothing to do with sports authentication and all of them wanted me to supply them with genuine exemplars.

Do Chris Morales and Drew Max even have a data base of exemplars?
