Forgeries Offered By Bid Daddy Auctions, Albuquerque NM Mickey Mantle 500 Homerun Club Litho Ted Williams DiMaggio CSC Collectibles

As many of us know, Ebay has done a decent job removing forgeries from their auction site over the past twelve months, but during that time the forgers and sellers of forgeries have found other outlets to sell their forgeries of Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Whitey Ford, etc.

Over the past year or so, these forgeries have made their way into local auctions and these local auctions are springing up all over the country.

Numerous sellers of forgeries sometimes use an online auction platform titled www.proxibid.com.

One of those sellers is Bid Daddy Auctions, Albuquerque NM.  For all I know, Bid Daddy Auctions might just be a consignment store, but since they are getting a piece of the action, they are responsible for the content they sell.

Below you will find photographs from some of their auctions.  The forgeries shown below are the typical forgeries that we sometimes see on Ebay and eventually get removed.

The forgeries that are posted all have COAs from either Chris Morales or CSC Collectibles.  Both are on Ebay's Banned COA list.

Let's start off with this Mantle, Williams & DiMaggio signed 8X10.  Typical set of forgeries.  This set has been forged in the thousands.  This one comes with a COA from Chris Morales, Forensic Investigator.  As we all know, Chris Morales is on Ebay's Banned COA list.

All of the below forgeries are presently listed by Bid Daddy Auctions, Albuquerque NM.

Mantle/Williams forgeries.  COA:  Chris Morales.

Mantle/Ford forgeries.  COA:  CSC Collectibles.

Mantle/Williams forgeries.  COA:  CSC Collectibles.  Thousands of these forgeries have been produced over the years.

Mantle forgery.  COA:  CSC Collectibles.

Mantle/Ford forgeries.  COA:  CSC Collectibles.  Not funny that they use a "borrowed" photo from a real Ford signing.

500 Homerun Club lithograph set of forgeries.    Thousands of these forgeries have been produced over the years.  Usually authenticated (what a joke) by Chris Morales.

Joe DiMaggio forgery.  COA:  CSC Collectibles.

As we all know both the COAs of CSC Collectibles and Chris Morales, Forensic Investigator. are on Ebay's "Banned COA" list.  There's a good reason why they are on Ebay's "Banned COA" list.  Look at the autographs above.

Since this garbage gets removed from Ebay when reported. both the source of this crap and the buyers of this garbage are finding other outlets to dump this crap.  They are finding platforms like Proxibid.com to dump this horrific garbage.

The government should investigate companies like this and get their records and find the supply chain for all this crap.

Just like in Operation Bullpen. Just catch one guy and he will roll on ALL THE REST.

I totally agree, Richard.  I am fairly certain that the source of this garbage, or someone close to the source of this garbage, is consigning this crap to these companies under platforms like Proxibid.

they are all over the place with the auctionzip listings and there are as many fools buying them at rediculousy low prices and thinking they have found an authentic one.

Recently, at Dick's Sporting Godds store one of the "mgrs" at the register and I were talking about Mickey Mantle Balls and you just won't believe what he suggested as a source!  Nope, not Big Daddy but auctionzip!

I actually attended this auction at Bid Daddy and actually purchased over $1000 worth of these fakes. Boy did I feel like an idiot once i started looking into what i just bought. Yesterday I went back to show them this article and some other research I had done. The owner of the auction house was just as surprised as I was. He said he had no idea about any of it and said he would look into it. Today I went back and was fully refunded by Bid Daddy owner for all autographs bought with the bogus coa's. They were completely fair and honest with me after they had knowledge what was going. It really sucks that honest companies like bid daddy are unknownly getting coned by these low life loser frauds and risking thier reputations and much more unknownly like this. I think one way to help stop this is to notify the companies if able too. This article was written well before the auction happened but yet Bid Daddy was never notified by the author or website. If they had been contacted and notified about this problem they could of looked into this more and more and likely the photos would of not been sold and could of saved alot of time and problems for me Bid Daddy and the others who had purchased these fakes. We need to work

together to get these fakes off the street and I'm just saying alot of the sellers of these fakes are being conned just as much as the buyers and if someone knows of one of these places selling these things should notifie them and give them the chance to make it right especially if gonna take the time to write annarticle like this one here and it might help save alot of people alot of problems and help identify which places are actually frauds and the ones that are actuall honest companies getting conned just as much as the people buying them.

I contacted Bid Daddy Auctions twice and never got a response. I contacted them using the email address that is on their website.

The majority of companies that I contact about this garbage usually get defensive. Just last night I contacted another auction site about their Mickey Mantle forgeries and they insisted that the owner of the estate got the autographs in person. You have no idea how difficult it is to deal with these companies, etc., that sell forgeries. I've been dealing with this stuff for nearly a decade.

Nathan, I'm happy you got your money refunded.

Yes thank you. Sorry if came off defensive, I was told they never knew anything about anything and they never were contacted. I am very thankful for you taking all your time to do all you do to stop this. You are a big reason I was able to find out the info I needed and get my money refunded. I am sure I am one of the few lucky people who are able to get my money refunded and that many of these people selling these are aware or dont care to find out.  I just thought i'd let everyone know they did make it right with me . Hopefully the other buyers of these are able to as well as I was told they had these in 4 other auctions and alot of these were sold to other customers during auction I attended and I didn't hear of any of the others going back. Again Christopher Williams I thank you, theres not alot of people who would spend thier time doing what you do to help others you never met from getting burned and I aplaud your actions as well as your character. Thank You! In this economy it doesn't take much to send a family

of course, they are going to tell buyers, "we never knew".  Happens on EBAY all the time and a number of other places as well.  To do otherwise would mean, they sold an item that someone claimed is "non-authentic".   Then the 2nd line of defense - so who is Williams and what credentials does he have?  Is he a forensic examaner and so on....    The excuses are endless.
