Zach Galifianakis Talks about Will Ferrell NOT signing on David Letterman

Our magazine had put former Saturday Night Live comedian Will Ferrell on our worst list. I’ve heard from many collectors that he just doesn’t sign. And I was thrilled the night he was on Conan O’Brien and held a copy of AUTOGRAPH. Conan asked him about why he was so bad at signing autographs, and Ferrell did this bit where he said it was impossible for him to sign. He then held up his hand, showing an elaborate hook he had instead of a hand.

Well, Zach is out promoting the movie THE CAMPAIGN, which stars Ferrell. Zach starts the story by saying “We got to the airport, and these autograph dealers were there. Grown men, standing in an airport waiting for his autograph. He didn’t sign, and we went into the city. Later when we got back, the same guys were there. These were adult men, David. Waiting for his autograph. I told him to just moon the guys, because…nobody moons anybody any more. The window went down, and I heard those guys say ‘Oh God!’ And not one autograph signed!”

This is the reputation autograph collectors get, because of all the dealers out there.

These guys should just do what Cary Grant did and charge a quarter an autograph.

Unfortunately there is a great deal of autograph hounds out there to collect for profit...it is a business in its own right...but that being said it hurts the collectors that just want a piece for themselves...I have done the hound thing before for myself...I have yet to turn a profit on any free auto I ever got...there is nothing wrong with doing so by any means...these celebs should sign for people...there millionaires in most cases....but when being asked for like 5-8 autos which I have seen before that is just ridiculous to me....it will turn off any celeb...

Will Ferrell should wake up every day and thank God anyone wants his autograph. Talk about a lame hack....

If it was not for his fans he would be nothing! But he does have a right to sign or not. He could even have a website for his autos to sell for profit or charity.
