Lennon/Ono signed grapefruit book on Dec 8th 1980.Hours before he was killed.

I was offered a chance to buy this signed Grapefruit book last week,It was signed for Laurie Kaye who was part of the RKO radio team that interviewed the Lennons on the afternoon of Dec 8th 1980(hours before his death).It also comes with a copy of a photo that was taken with Laurie and the Lennons on that afternoon.Sorry about the blurry photo.Asking price was 33k.I passed on it a week ago ,I do want to go back to him with a counter offer.what do u guys think it is worth.any thoughts would be appreciated.thx in advance.

Not just any book, double-dated, location "N.Y.C." noted, double-portraits (one self, among very last), and in two different inks, of a remaining few minutes of happiness for this duo. I can't see how this could be any better? It is of course a river of sadness, but what a tremendous and potent item.

I did not realize Grapefruit has these words as well as written by Yoko Ono - "Imagine there’s no heaven. Easy, right?" and I see John said this of Imagine on Dec. 6th 1980 - "Actually that should be credited as a Lennon-Ono song because a lot of it—the lyric and the concept—came from Yoko. But those days I was a bit more selfish, a bit more macho, and I sort of [adopts a mock censuring tone] omitted to mention her contribution. But it was right out of Grapefruit, her book. There’s a whole pile of pieces about “Imagine this” and “Imagine that.”"

The seller called me a few hours ago.He is 100% firm at 33k.I want it but it's a bit much. I offered him cash and some trade but he was not interested.Kind of an anticlimatic ending to this story.bummer.
