We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.
The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.
This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.
You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.
Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.
Try it...I think you'll like it.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.
I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.
So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

I think the argument for, even by non-fans, is that Page basically stopped signing for fans. Add that to his legacy, and I think a lot of collectors are willing to make the purchase without thinking too hard.
If I had more money to spend, maybe I would. But in addition to being $240, I have some serious questions of what's being signed and how it's being signed. When Jimmy has offered signed items on his website before, to the best of my memory, they've been extremely expensive. So why is this cheaper? To boost sales on a less desirable item?
I don't know. If I was a fan, it'd be a different story. But Zeppelin really never drew me in, and I don't especially care for that era of music in general. But I do completely understand why some other collectors are probably thinking this is a no brainer.
What I plan to do is to cut his signature and frame it together with one of his classic photos. Jimmy's autographs are an absolute nightmare to get in person nowadays...
This is not the actual Projekt, this is co-signed by Janet Macoska...

what is the insert sheet going to look like? are the signatures going to be on a clear area?
By "insert sheet," we aren't referring to the inner paper sleeve of a vinyl record, are we? If that's the case, I'll pass.
Agreed - I really hope its an insert that resembles the album cover - like Barnes and Noble does. Would be great to find out..
