Has  RACC  always been A closed group?

I looked them up but when you sign in .No Access.

How do you join . I hear them mentioned a lot.  Is there a trick or something.

I must admit I am not 100% Sicilian ,But I don't think that is the issue.

What am I Missing?

Jay,

So brief summary: you had a bad transaction with Josh Clark 4 years ago, RACC didn't exist yet. You joined RACC, had no problems on it for a long time. But some weeks ago, you were banned out of the blue by Josh Clark without something new happened?

You also mentioned in another thread you and some friends were banned, only because the prices were too low. Can you show pics and prices of these items.

I'd say, post evidence please or move on, cause otherwise this well be a another thread that goes into the silent grey zone.

Only person I can recall is 1 guy who posted a very sloppy Slash for $10 and was banned temporarily.

Not sure if your deleted reply was to me but if so, i said i didnt think there was anything wrong in people selling Hitler Memorabilia, but i certainly didnt joke about people being shot, so dont know where you got this from and doesnt seem right to kick people when you are not even sure if they did the things you think they did. I am a member of AFTAL, have my own Autograph Business, and get in Person Sigs and now i am unable to sell or buy on RACC just because you dont agree with my opinion on something and then accuse me of something else i didnt do!

I replied about this mix-up above, but here it is again:

I do apologize about the DC shooter mix-up, there was a different ex-member who made a joke about the people being critically shot in DC right after it happened. After he was booted, he went on to message a bunch of moderators and then was complaining about being booted in another group. Just mistakenly thought this was you for a minute.

RACC isn't just a place to buy and sell autographs, it's equally a community for friendly discussion and sharing insight and fun stories. If people are offending other members, or being especially argumentative and disruptive on other people's threads, we just ban them. It's as simple as that. If they want to go on other platforms to complain, then so be it. I would rather have a few guys complaining outside about RACC than operate a group filled with negative people. We all see how other groups are filled with shockingly childish, hateful, extremely disappointing and unnecessary arguments on a daily basis. RACC was literally created specifically so good people could get away from that stuff.

Grovel!

I consider AML the best autograph website on the planet. I consider RACC the best autograph Facebook group on the planet. I do read many other websites as I also belong to other autograph Facebook groups. Like I've said these two are the best for what they do. Thank you to Steve and thank you to Justin and Michael!

Thanks, Ian, I really appreciate it.

I've been thinking about setting up FB groups in addition to this, but I think that having discussions all in one place is better. So now I'm looking into a way for members tho comment thru FB without having to login separately.

If you've been on Autograph Live for a while, you probably know that I rarely close a discussion and almost never delete one. I'm not going here.

If you're a former member of RACC and upset about being removed from it, it's OK to express that, but it's overtaking Autograph Live to a degree, so I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't pound on it.

If you have legitimate and specific autograph authenticity concerns, or know if an RACC dealer is selling lots of fakes, by all means, please talk about it, with proof.

If you're angry with how you've been treated there, a few mentions are all that's needed. I know that RACC management has heard your concerns here, and knowing Justin Steffman and Mike Kasmar, they are no doubt taking them seriously and discussing them, and seeing if they need to revise how things are done.

It's not easy to run a passionate community—I've been doing it since 2009 and sill make more than my fair share of mistakes. The RACC is only 2 years old, and their dealer program perhaps 6 months. Please give them time and try not to jump on them each time they login here.

Thanks

I wont pound on it anymore, i dont give a hoot about racc!

Thanks, Paul. But your voice has definitely been heard. Not just by us members here, but by the RACC leaders.

They're only 2 years old, and they're trying to do a lot. The Facebook group...and the RACC dealer program and their authentication service, both brand new.

One thing almost all of us agree on is that the autograph field needs to improve and become safer. There are a number of very successful, highly-trusted and respected dealers involved that have a lot to lose if the RACC tarnishes their reputation, so I feel they're worth our patience and understanding.

Autograph live and racc need to seperate in my opinion but some how the worlds collide. If the managment dealt with people respectfully they wouldn't be on here complaining, simple as that.
Im sure most of the dealers are genuine and are great people, but if there associated with racc, which are run by a few, than ill avoid at all cost.
Apologize for going on about this!

And Jay, regarding your serious customer service concerns with a RACC dealer transaction a few years ago. I'm hoping to see the RACC come up with seriously strong customer service policies, beyond just being sticklers on authenticity.

They're a group, and the group's reputation is negatively affected if even one of their dealers is allowed to get away with bad customer service. They need to make sure that the concerns you expressed regarding your bad transaction four years ago don't happen again, because they'll all be judged by them.

I say that now that they know how important good customer service is, let's give them a chance to prove themselves.
