He's got a bunch of Gilmour with this sig for sale. He used to have them as bids but now he has some listed at $140 because he is actually making sales on this complete GARBAGE !!!
This is one of those examples where 5 minutes of study can tell these are CRAPOLA !!!
These could be eliminated by price and quantity - no signature exam needed. He has 5 offered now and has sold 9 "Gilmours" - none for over $149 and some as low as $61. This does not include relists - and there are some of those...or are they prints? $105 and $145 on 1/12 are identical. He also has garbage "Roger Waters" forgeries at $105 and a few of those sold as well. Also a sold "Gilmour", "Waters " & "Mason" trio SP for $275.
Knowing your subject and its true value is a great defense against this idiocy. No signed Snoopy sketches for $100. No Schiele watercolors for $19.95. If could make a car analogy I would.
To add: Of course there are bargains to be had. We have seen Waters for $20, Gilmour for $60, Bowie for $49 and Gleason for $40 but those are very much the exceptions.
But the innocent suckers on ebay seem to get them confused and the difference btwn Us and Them is that we realize the difference btwn garbage and gem... or at least work to educate ourselves.
We all want that special deal
I'm drunk so I don't even know what I'm saying right now
