DiMaggio Authenticity

Hello,

I’d appreciate any input on this Joe D. signature.  Received this through the mail as a kid, circa 1983-84.  It’s far different from the more common forgeries I’ve encountered, and the era in which it was signed pre-dates the “big money era” in his signature.  HOWEVER, I’m still skeptical, as DiMaggio is not my strong suit.  I clipped this from the letter I wrote to him; had meant to enclose an index card for him to sign.  Apparently, I forgot it...

Great eye! Yes!  The light signature is a facsimile reproduction.
