Awhile back I purchased a Rolling Stones newspaper. It was OKed by Roger Epperson before I purchased it. I didn't see, nor can I now see, there was any problems with it. I matted the paper and eventually offered it for sale on eBay where it was pulled by them.
I have since found out that this item sold on eBay in the past without a problem.
Yesterday, I received information from a member on this site who noticed this in a previous discussion and was informed by them that this is a known forgery style.
To also be fair, I have seen an email where Roger Epperson again(today) responded this set of signatures looks fine. Also, I have in my possession a ticket to the event on the same date as the newspaper, attendance wristbands for the event, and photo of the event site and inside during the concert.
I simply would appreciate to figure out if these signatures are, indeed, genuine or do they appear suspect. I both love and dislike a challenge and this is one to me. Appreciate any and all thoughtful responses.
Thank-you.

Hey Matt -- just reached out to you on Twitter -- can you hit me back?
Some great sleuthing happened here
FAKE is the definite verdict now
No blame on anyone... but the truth was revealed
I just hope the seller to Joe does the righteous act and refunds his money.
A real man/woman would step up to the plate and make it right.
I sell my items in good conscience
I want ask to Joe if he sent to Epperson the photos of all memorabilia of that concert in France or only the photo of the magazine signed. Thanks for the response. And for me and i repeat is incredible that Epperson make a mistake in a Stones fake signatures... And i don't think to be crazy to saw this thing. Sorry...
Tiziano, you see to keep attempting to make it about Mr. Epperson. That is not the point of this discussion. Please read the title of the discussion again. It's about a specific Rolling Stones set of signatures.
I'm not here to soil anyone's reputation. But, I will say, do you think Roger has not seen this discussion? Or a thousand other sets of eyes who have not publicly responded? Trust me, they have seen it or heard about it.
The truth is sometimes very difficult to find, especially when it's wrapped in a pretty bundle. Finding 100% agreement is virtually impossible. I think, on this particular Stones piece, we have come as close to complete agreement as possible.
Like it or not, autograph authenticity is based on opinions. Some opinions have more value than others. And it should be that way. Experience and reputation deserves that. And respect. I personally respect Roger very much.
Again, if I've made anyone angry, bitter, or hurt feelings. I apologize. Not my intent. I own this Stones piece and may die the owner of this Stones piece. I'm not angry, bitter, or hurt. I've learned to try to seek the truth and include a big bottle of forgiveness around with me all the time.
We all make mistakes. How we respond to those mistakes is what is important. Do what's right the best we can. And move on.
Thanks again for all those who have actively been involved with this discussion. Both with their public comments and with their efforts behind the scenes. I appreciate and have personally benefited from it. Hope others have as well.
I mean, the newspaper is a definite, 100% fake. It´s sad that it has passed some authentication but mistakes can happen. Even if they provided ticket or wristbands from the "secret" show, it doesn´t guarantee authenticity of the autographs. And as Matt has mentioned, The Stones rarely sign full pieces nowadays, and there is no access to them even at small venues.
Good Robert!
