We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

apparently..i wonder if i gave him 200 right then and there if he woulda signed..hmmmmm

$200, yes... $198, no. Lol. I guess I would sign all day long at $200 a pop, but I dont have Paul Simon money.

That’s crazy!  My wife and I met him a few years ago and he couldn’t have been nicer.  We got a photo with him (his handler took 2 just to be sure) and then he signed a couple of albums for us - even switching pens from blue to silver. He signed a Graceland album then a S&G Bookends album. Much different experience than you had.  This was probably 6 years ago.

He said he was gonna stop signing when he turned 70. I was very nice to him.. i had a s&g vinyl boxset and a graceland album that was signed by steve gadd.. he refused to sign.. i think because it was his wife edie brickell’s show.. she signed! He refused...he wasnt a dick at all... he was nice... just didnt sign.. there was myself and one other person as well... oh well... i bought this one.. gonna frame and hang it once i get it

The signed Bookends is an exceptional item - nice signatures on their best album IMO. It looks great with his signature in silver.

Thanks Ballroom. Here’s how it turned out when I let added Garfunkel in black.

He had a Graceland anniv. poster on his site a few years ago for the same price.  Sold out pretty quickly.  If you want Paul, this is what you have to do.

I grabbed one then posted. It benefits a food bank I believe so its a good thing all around for a pretty tough signer.

i just bought one as well...yeah it's for charity..that's a good thing..wonder if i can write it off?

I also bought one. Thanks again, Ian.

My pleasure!

I didnt see it was for charity. Thats cool he does that. I wish more big names would do it, at least for charity.
