I started this thread to gather information on Roger Keith "Syd" Barrett signatures to hopefully determine just how rare or common he is to collect.

As well as hopefully determine current market values.

we'll be battling for buying rights if it ever comes up for sale hahaha

merry xmas friend

That’s for sure!!!merry Xmas to u and yours!!

Very nice piece, I think I would sell my whole Collection for that...

Merry Christmas for all you lovely People here!

I actually knew a guy who did trade his whole collection for a rare autograph he desired. Only to later learn it was a forgery!

Sad...but true. PS. It wasn't me!

Who was the autograph of and what was the item, if it is not too revealing?

Sorry, it was about 20 years ago, I can't remember the specifics. I know who it happened to although will keep that private.

That's a bold statement Andreas
I've seen some of your collection and it's freakn amazing

Personally I can't make that statement because one of the pieces in my collection is a book of Syd's from the Cheffins auction (my most favorite and treasured collectible)

But as the saying goes.... I would give my left nut for this item ( I need my right one) HAHAHAHAA

Did anyone notice that fantastic full Floyd with syd signed to Ella was listed twice at the same auction house? Something happened with the first sale at 4000 pounds and it was listed again a few months later where it sold again  for 3000 pounds. Wonder what the story was? Wrote the auction house but no response.

Hi Mistydog,

What auction house?

iAA.   International autograph auctions

This is a great thread goodcat
The item information is on the previous page

Hi goodcat and others on here, firstly many thanks for the wealth of details on here.

My friend and myself bought the signed 320 limited edition of the Genesis Psychedelic Renegades , which is signed by Syd and Mick, when it came out.

We're both music nuts and we put it away with a mind to opening it up one night over a glass of beer and listening to some of Syd's LPs etc. Anyhow, life, kids, divorces, more kids, jobs etc etc all got in the way! and it has remained unopened in the the original mailer from Genesis Publications, to this day! Literally it is mint, completely unopened. We have the invoice with details of the number etc from Genesis.

We tried to get it sold at the recent Cambridge auction at Cheffins but they're either were not interested or it wasn't allowed (we never heard back!).

I've seen it on eBay recently for anywhere between £2k and £3.5k but if anyone could advise on how best to sell it and for what price, I'd be really grateful.

PS . I've just seen that Mick Rock passed away, which is a tragic loss to the music business. Our decision to sell was taken earlier this year and I don't want to be seen to be cashing in.
