There are a few things.    I have a few VP autographs and they match up perfectly to what you have shown.

The letter formation looks good.    The item in itself is not typical of something a forger would use being that VP autographs are rather plentiful.    With all that being said I feel this is real.

If you are looking for a nice auto.   Check out khw  on eBay.  Has this for 90$ with best offer.    From my dealings with him he will take 70$ for it

Are you sure the first one (in faded black marker) is good?

Now that you mention it, Steve, I agree. The first one shown is a little “bubbly” if you will. The VP I am familair with is very “sharp” as the one with the JSA cert and the OP in question.
