Hello, your post does not contain an image.

Hope this works trying to figure it out  .

he posted it in another discussion.  it is a vintage Joe D signature, surrounded by some comments supposedly from MM, but definitely not in her hand.

Sorry don't really know how to do this. I'll try to  post the image again . The note at the top was wrote by Dottie Birdsong my sisters grandmother in law . Her & her husband  Charles Birdsong were at the dinner they are from Ohio . So Joe Dimaggio signed an autograph  under a note saying she didn't  like the Yankees  .  Has anyone ever seen him do that ?

From the POV of a buyer how can it be determined the note was not added later - like the "Monroe" that appears to go over Joe D.? Same pen also...

It was wrote by the same pen marilyn signed in and Benny Fields signed with.  Also you can see by the arangement the note was there first before the autographs  . You can see by the guest list that the Birdsong were there .

I don't think Marilyn signed that. Member Eva would be able to speak to that signature.

I know for a fact she did how or who do I take it too so it can be authenticated? Because you are wrong Mrs. Birdsong was there and personally given the autographs  she told me herself . The Birdsong attended many of the dinners .

With due respect, that is not a fact - it is a story. That the Birdsong's were there does not equal the MM sig being genuine. You could submit it to PSA/DNA for authentication but it doesn't appear to warrant it to my eye. Perhaps others will chime in.

Who would belive anything psa says now anyway with all the forgeries  ? Probably why you are so determined  that these are not theirs . Get a grip everyone isn't  trying to get over  on everyone . The day of Dottie Birdsong funeral I had to dig these and you wouldn't  believe  how much of her wonder full life achievements out of a construction dumpster  because all her family  cared about  was how much money they were getting  . All the autographs  the antiques would have ended up in the landfill  . Sorry for any disrespect but she was a wonderful  woman , a powder puff air racer , a member of the 99's air group and she deserves  more respect and honor than this forum has given her for what she did she wrote the note if you knew here you would understand how blunt she was all of five foot tall and 95 pounds full of vigor .

I don't use PSA and never have. I believe in self education and observation over time. I am not "determined" as you say - I have no dog in this - I am going by the information presented to sincerely help you - as I was trying to do last night when I posted that your photos were not showing.

Has it occured to you that Mrs. Birdsong truly believed what she told you and was also mistaken? How can you know the program was not sent up to the dais and sent back with "a" Monroe signature? It is just one possibility among many.
