I’m looking for a second opinion on this helmet that I might purchase. It’s a Peyton Manning colts helmet. The piece is from a reliable seller that obtained the piece over a decade ago from a private signing. The issue is that it has a Gridiron Authentics COA. I’ve heard lots of bad things about their company but I figured it might be fine since this was signed so long ago when they were considered a little more reliable. The seller said he has no doubts about it passing any third party authenticity and will refund if it doesn’t pass if I submit it myself. I want to avoid the hassle though if possible. It appears pretty solid to me and I can’t seem to notice any issues with it besides the COA, but I’m new to this. What does everyone think? Thanks!

I’m not a Manning expert, but it doesn’t look good to me...and no way would I trust Gridiron. Their COAs are ridiculous...a picture of the star at an autograph signing session...just a random signing session from God knows where, when, and with whom. It could just be a random pic they pulled from the web, and that’s supposed to be “proof”.
I hate to rain on your parade, but I also would hate to see you waste your money too. One thing that stands out to me is the rather elongated last name. It doesn’t seem right. There also are some issues with the Peyton part as well, but the last name really looks off to me.
And again, there’s the Gridiron issue. They have duped a lot of people who somehow fell for the celebrity-picture thing. It’s like, “Ok...there’s Tom Brady with a marker in his hand and objects to sign all around him. This must be real.” Who cares if the picture was taken 10 years ago.
Gonna have to agree that it is not likely genuine

nope! No good, just my opinion but I personally don’t like the signature one bit
I have an 8x10 I'd let go for a solid price if you're interested. I got it signed in 2016 when he played in a golf Pro Am.
Looks like an attempted forgery of his mid-2000s autograph. Personally I would definitely stay away from it. I would recommend sending a letter and an item to him to get signed through the mail, he signed a sports card for me a couple of months ago.
