I had a matte photo (Fuji Crystal Archive) done in paint pen that I smudged, and I had written it off, so I figured "what the heck" and tried taking some acetone nail polish remover to it, with the aid of a Q-Tip.
It removed the paint pen, but left a kind of sticky gooey residue on the photo.
So I figured "what the heck" and took some Goo Gone to it, with the aid of a different Q-Tip.
It did nothing except leave a greasy residue on the photo.
So now I have a photo with a layer of what's essentially sticky greasy crap.
People talk all the time about removing stray ink with nail polish remover and Goo Gone. But I can't find anyone anywhere talking about how to remove the nail polish remover and Goo Gone once the job's done.
Am I just SOL or is there something I'm missing?
I took a damp paper towel to it, which had absolutely no effect on either.
