It’s probably not something to even think about. But thought I would check. I recently purchased an autographed football that had been stored away in a house vault for the last 18 years. So it lost some air pressure and could stand to be pumped up some. Has anyone else done that with an autographed football or basketball? Anything to be concerned about?

James, I have had to inflate several balls in the past couple of years and only had a problem with one that could never hold air. The other three (Joe Montana, Walter Payton and Johnny Unitas) ended up in great shape with the signature resembling the original.
Thanks, Daniel. That’s good to know. I think I will inflate it...slowly. The autograph is in good shape, and the ball looks in new condition. And it should only look better with some more air in it.
