I keep seeing these "ODD" to say the least Michael Jackson PSA Certified items popping up on eBay.

MJ is not my area of expertise,  but this is very bizarre.    And Ive seen quite a few of these "Odd" MJ PSA pieces on ebay over the past year .

What gives??

I checked the PSA database.  There is no picture, but this comes up as an authentic Michael Jackson signed LP album...not a CD.  So this is just a fake PSA sticker on a fake MJ signed CD.

Same seller as the one I previously posted. I found out that this is actually common practice among forgers to go through PSA/DNA’s database and find listings that lack photographs and use the COA number for their item.

Doing so seems kind of clever by the forger, but if the database says album, it’s probably a good idea to use an album and not a CD!  Lol.

That explains  a lot .  There is one ebay seller that has multiple PSA Encapsulated autographs that may have suspicious encapsulations , although I havent yet heard PSA confirm any of this.

I sent the guy an email stating that the COA was for an album... Just for fun !

That might have a negative effect. If you point out the flaws to a forger they will become better at forging. The best thing to do is to report these items to eBay and have them remove the listing and ban the user.

Its been years since eBay removed a sellers forgeries  For a period of time about 8-10 years ago they were cracking down.   They dont remove anymore.

Yes reporting is useless.

The best thing to do is to discuss the issue here stating clearly the seller's name (if possible several time). When you look in the website search engine or even Google, you then find the discussion and you know what to expect...

And here is the answer:

"yes since it is autographed on the album paper PSA COA labels that as the album now if he had signed on the actual cd itself then the COA would say. Cd. But it’s signed on the album itself so that’s why it’s labeled album. If you look up any Michael Jackson signed album you will see all his signatures are on the album paper like mine. Please let me know if u have any other questions."

LOL.

That just isn't true. It should say "CD Cover" like this one:

Someone apparently paid $750 for this McCartney “signed” LP with a fake PSA/DNA COA (cert # P12173). The buyer left positive feedback.
