Ok Bob Dylan seems like a bit of a favourite conversation on here...so here goes.

I have been collecting autographs for 20 years, always in person and have never bought an autograph. I know when I see it signed that it is real and you can never have that same confidence buying them.

All that being said I would love Bob Dylan's signature and from what I have read it is virtually impossible in person.

The signed limited edition artworks that have been seeling since 2008 from the Drawn Blank series, seem pretty good value and I am interested in getting one http://www.bobdylanart.com/

My question's are given that these are editions of 295 and often ten different prints were issued each year, that is 3000 autographs...did Dylan really hand sign these or was it an autopen or pencil? and how can you know?

does anyone own one of these to upload an image of signature, if a few people did we could compare all the signatures?

I am interested in everyone's feedback on this subject.

Thanks

Nathan

I have several in my collection and they are without question authentic.  They are all a bit different and signed in black charcoal pencil.  They are very nice and clean signatures too.  The art is really very nice too.  If you go to my site www.signedsealeddel.com I have at least one up and you can see the signature for yourself.

Hi Roger thanks for your reply....it is a nice signature..do you think these would be a good investment..
I just got an iPad and I see there isn't an editorial toolbar for editing available now. What are you accessing the site with? Looks like there is a bug we need to fix. Email me your images at editor@autographmagazine.com and I'll upload them here this evening. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Here is my Bob Dylan Self Titled Litho from 1990. This artwork was taken from his self portrait album cover from 1990. The litho is not hand signed by Bob Dylan. It is not number on the print either. This print is part of a plate signed edition with the artists signature printed in the lower right hand corner. The number of prints pate signed in this edition is 9800, the prints in this edition are not individually numbered. the number of this print according to the certificate is #1301.

If you buy them right I think they are.  I can't see how anything signed by the greatest sonwriter ever wouldn't go up in value.

Agreed Roger! I am thinking of picking up this signed Bob Dylan index card for myself.

Roger, if you are talking about the greatest songwriter ever you should change this discussion to John Lennon (:

If you spoke French you'd all be saying Jacques Brel is the greatest songwriter ever ;)

Belgian.

I didn't say Jacques was French! ;)
