That's harsh man. Mike has a different opinion than you do but isnt being aggressive about it. I think the point he was making was that you arent guaranteed a certain autograph. There is no guarantee given that the signature is going to be any more than a line and that's a risk we all take with these preorders. I also agree with you that its BS that she did this and I cancelled my order when I started seeing how these sigs were looking but it's not worth getting into a heating argument over..you both just have a difference of opinions.

I agree, it isn’t worth getting worked up about i should know - I used to be a bit arsey and argumentative and all that did was Give me massive heart attack and nearly die at 43 - 3 years ago - so we will have to agree to disagree on this one!

Gaga really just wasted her time on these (if she even signed them) We wasted our hard earned money - we will all learn from this and know not to bother with her crap in the future.....

Sorry to hear that Nick. We are about the same age, hope you are well.

I've backed off on a lot of these preorders as they've been getting worse and worse lately. Gaga only gave me a partial refund because apparently the charge for the digital album is not refundable.

Hey Christopher, thanks, 3 stents and I’m ok (ish) thanks, I’ve ordered so many signed items lately I’ve lost track, although I’m easing up totally now as I’m fed up of either receiving autopenned or no signatures...

I don’t agree with the digital part of the order not being refunded, I’m in the UK and if I order from the US the digital parts of orders are US release only so should be refunded

I certainly understand where you are coming from and I understand your frustration, but please keep in mind ( and this is how the studios are getting away with this ) that you are purchasing the artist's music and not their autograph.  Is it unethical ? Absolutely because we probably wouldn't buy such a putrid CD unless it was signed by the artist.

This is for my daughter.. i dont listen to bieber, gaga, grande or lovato.. i get them for my daughter...I honestly have never listened to any of that type of music...

As much as I hate to say this, pretty soon, I think that signed CDs will no longer exist because of the autopen fiasco and fans' disenchantment with such a poor quality signature. I recently got James Taylor's autograph and he signed his CD very nicely ( of course, this was in person event ).  There's no way that a start as popular as Lady Gaga could ever do an in person signing ( at this juncture in her career ) at a Barnes and Noble.

I noticed plenty of fans calling Gaga out on these on social media. Crap is crap, and these are crap - regardless of who "signed" them.

I cancelled the Lady Gaga CDs at the first sign of trouble. The sheer numbers should would have had to have signed combined with the earliest shipments prompted me to jump ship as soon as I could.

All this aside, I feel like some circumstances have changed with signed preorders over the past few years. Even before Covid-19 affected signing and shipping, there were other things at play affecting the quality and authenticity of these items. As a whole, I still think these generally offer a great opportunity. When you see a big name in the mix, especially when they're selling low priced items in large quantities, it's probably not a bad idea to use a bit more caution these days.

I certainly understand where you are coming from and if I am going to pay money for an autograph, I want an autograph and not an auto pen.  At the same time, a lot of the big name musicians like Lady Gaga will ever appear at a show or a signing (and if they do, it will be very limited ). While I am not happy with just an initial, it's an ounce better than nothing.

I'm an avid collector as well and this is an autograph that I have been seeking for quite sometime. You are right that a 3rd party probably would not authenticate this signature (letter) unless the card was exclusive and was not reprinted. I am just as frustrated as anyone and I wonder what the Justin Beiber and Arianna Grande signatures will look like ?  Last, hopefully, the posters will be nicer and have a clearer signature. I am sure that will depend upon how many were sold.

I agree and I wonder if there is any way to hold these artists accountable for the false advertising as an autopen autograph is not a hand-signed autograph. This might be cool to a teenager, but if a teenager found out that is almost as bad as a Xerox copy of the artist's autograph, they might change their mind. Sadly, Hollywood runs the world and they will do anything for a dollar even if it's at the expense of deceiving fans. Last, I read where there could be repercussions from Demi Lovato's and Mariah Carrey's recent autopen fiasco as some fans were planning on suing them for deceptive advertising.

Amex refunded my money for this Gaga garbage no questions asked. Note to self: Use Amex on ALL pre-orders moving forward.
