I looked at the same 1944 and agree it is lsecretarial.
Thst 1944 though is on the PSA website as an example of his signature
Where does it say secretarial
Also the handwriting lettering is typical of Wayne if you check out his handwritten letters
It doesn't say secretarial - Joe was showing you a genuine example for comparison. Your signature falls outside the norm and displays signs of being a secretarial. The letter formations and flow are different, the baseline for this period is not so straight as the OP.
By the handwriting i mean the distincting loops in the Y the front tail on the M and the way the T curves up in the looped H in the word Thanks
Check the handwriting it is in JW hand i have researched today
Looks spot on
Post your evidence for discussion.
The handwriting matches and has been consisten through his career
Particularly check the M the Y as it swings up to the T and more
I sm going by the dedication on this more than the signature.
The double O is always a good poinrer but it is not set in stone. I have one that a friend got in person on the set of Branigan and the O just has one loop
The secrataries were pretty good though just as they were with charlton Heston ( although now we know what to look for of course
JMHO. The letter is authentic and it does not match the writing style of the photo.
I've seen this already. Different baselines, slants and formations in signature and so many letters and connections in the dedication/inscription. Secretarial.
