Hi mates:

I'm new here, I have found this site because I could really use your help with a dispute I have opened on paypal.

A month ago I bought from a supposedly reputable record shop located in Praha, a full signed 12" One Vision for 1.100 €, you can see it in the pictures. When it was finally delivered, apart from there was a tear in the spine of the sleeve (that wasn't noted before the purchase and it was already there), I suspected that the signatures weren't legit.

Actually I got some opinions in facebook and all of them agreed.

I sent it back to the seller for a refund, as he is a professional and even in his site makes clear the right of withdrawal (in the EU you have two weeks to return online purchases for a full refund with no need for explanations).

I've been dealing since then with him, he has never agreed to refund my money, he says "money runs out..."  I opened a case on paypal and finally he offered me in exchange the Queen LP that you can see also in the image attached (what he calls a nice piece of history). I suspect it's also a fake, maybe by the same forger, as signatures are wrong and they even don't match with the signatures of that era.

What do you think about the signatures? If you are so kind, I would need a little of explanation because paypal is going to ask me for some kind of proof, I have to scalate the case to claim tomorrow so it doesn't get closed, and I would rather to have my back covered for what it may come.

Thanks in advance

Hello Carmelo, both are not genuine and both were done by the same hand. Give me a few minutes and I'll add more info on that.

Thanks, I think I already contacted with you through facebook messenger, right?

I would like to know half as much as you know, that would save me some problems...

Do you agree with me that the signatures on the Queen LP doesn't even match those of the early seventies?

Best Regards.

Not even close for early 70s. Yes, we have discussed this yesterday you and I. I'll message you the more info through there as to not help potential forgers.

I don't like them. For proof send them to Roger Epperson who is a recognised authenticator. It will cost you $15 for his quick opinion.

It depends what how PayPal defines proof. With PayPal you have 180 days to open a case. An opinion on a forum might not be enough.

These look awful. Always best to seek opinions before purchasing.

Poor forgeries.

I would advise getting a quick opinion from Beckett as eBay and PayPal recognise them and value their opinion more than Eppersons.  I’m speaking from experience saying that too.

Hope you get the refund.

Beckett will probably say authentic. Bunch of Jokers

Wouldn’t surprise me Michael.

.

On the contrary, many of my best purchases came from eBay - real great bargains like the $49 Bowie SP and $79 Bowie signed DVD. Rip Torn for $1 shipped, Canada Lee for $5...

I shouldn't moan so much about eBay. They've made me a stack of money. I love them really.
