Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not. I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples. These TTM signatures are not cheap. You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box. The question is are they real or not. Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.
Please post your thoughts here and examples.
thanks
Mark

There is a Jerry signed photo in an up and coming rr auction. Just looks vintage.
I remember that when this thread was originated 7 years ago, the Lewis family was apparently upset by the comments. If they’re following again, perhaps they can post a video of Jerry Lee signing an autograph. They have posted videos to YouTube so they’re easily able to do it.
if my doubts are somehow wrong, they can PM me, and I’ll happily buy the autograph. I think a lot of us would be willing to pay their price if we could see Jerry Lee sign.
I wouldn't trust anything coming from ttm even if paying thousands of dollars. I think it's all Judith doing the signing.
I also think it's possibly Jerry Lee has no knowledge of the whole signature process. Maybe he is just enjoying his life and I am happy for him if that's true but it's definitely a con on the fans by Judith, IMO.
On a smaller scale it reminds me of James Best selling signed photos on his website and one fan reporting, it may have been to the original autograph magazine, that the personalization was authentic but the signature featured a pre print. James did wind up making good for him. Or after Dennis Weaver passed his wife was selling signed books of his which she cited as his signature but they wound up being stamped.
How could he have no knowledge of the signature process? Does he think that TTM autograph requests stopped all of a sudden? They raised the price to $200 for Judith’s proxy signature and blamed it on the TTM secretarial claim? Most of the people who receive the notes regarding “internet fraud” won’t have any idea what they’re referring to.
208661_0.jpg Hi! Random off topic reply here but this is probably a real signature and im not sure if this was posted on here. https://www.julienslive.com/m/lot-details/index/catalog/159/lot/69034/ ... Ive read some things about the loops in his L's ... this looks nothing like those but i doubt its fake
With him being elderly and possibly ill he may not have knowledge. If he does know mail is coming in he could just think that Judith is stamping items as have been done in the past.
Nothing surprises me with family members of older and ill celebrities what they will do for money so it would not surprise me if she was conning the fans and since many experts on this site can't even say one way or the other, the average fan won't either so she will keep getting away with it.
That license signature is consistent with many in persons but not so much the ttm style coming back for years.
Keep in mind that the TTM secretarial claim has been going on for seven years now. During that time, the signed edition of the “His Own Story” book was released. When JLL told the Memphis Business Journal that his “hand was getting tired from signing all these books”, it was claimed that he was trying to con his fans.
Maybe someone should try to set up a paid mail-in signing with him.
