Stan Lee - Excelsior Auto

How can you tell if an excelsior signed book is legit? I really like this comic and signature, but does it look legit? https://www.ebay.com/itm/AVENGERS-MARVEL-COMIC-100-CLASSIC-CVR-Sign...

Any way to tell? Why do CGC signatures of this comic sell for so much while this one is $300?

Signature looks ok to me. 

CGC Signature Series typically sells for more because those are witnessed signatures and they are sealed in a tamper proof slab.

If I get it Beckett Quick Checked and then send it in for authentication and they authenticate it I guess that's as close as I can get?

Wow that seems high. In any case, typically CGC Signature Series will hold the most value because they are witnessed and sealed. It's not an opinion that the signature is authentic.

That said, most signatures are NOT witnessed. In that case, third party authentication is the next best thing.

Thanks! This book at 9.2 goes for around 300-400 slabbed and unsigned, so it's a matter of whether the verified signature to me is worth an extra 500 :(
