Beware of this Signed Michael Jackson Signed Invincible Cover

Hello

Take care of this offer.

This seller has faked hundreds of invincible covers and autographs, including my former Green invincible cover which Beckett passed, and another Autograph from this faker passed at Beckett.

Why arnt the police arresting these guys thats what i want to know?! Absolute scumbags these sellers

oh yes I agree with you Phil
I think this seller has over 5 accounts on ebay, every time the same way he forges the autographs.
With this offer, the buyers were definitely convinced of the receipt and the poster and the vip pass.
they are also fake :(

so how do you know all the add ons are also fake?

Scammers get away with this kind of behavior because:

(a) It's completely unregulated; there are very few people willing to go to the time and effort to track these people down, and short of a major scheme that defrauds tens of thousands out of sellers in a knowing way (that, or they cross someone who has a lot of cash to burn taking them to court), they can continue unchecked. At this point, EBay is very much a case of "buyer beware", regardless of what you're looking for.

(b) Which level of police? Local? Regional? Federal? Considering how insane the collectibles market has become, and given how unregulated it is, do you think a local police force is going to go to the effort of tracking down and finding EBay scammers, who are just going to respond with "I make every assurance..." type excuses?

You want to go after someone, start with the Beckett/PSA's of the world that have gone gonzo trying to monopolize a market that is still very much the Wild West.

Totally understand what youre saying but some of these forgers are making serious money and so it should be dealt with on a national level.. Alot of these sellers arnt one off 'try my luck' scammers, they are orchestrated forgers who have been dealing for years under several accounts earning thousands. Ebay needs to be held to account but they dont care as long as theyre getting their 10%

I dont know what the answer is to be honest but as long as people are making money off these scammers, alot of blind eyes are being turned

Of course people are turning a blind eye -- the last two years have cultivated a kind of "fever" (for lack of a better word) in people who are looking to flip everything; we're seeing it on this board in spades. The problem is, once you inflate the industry to such a point that everyone is buying into new releases expecting to double or triple their money, it's not sustainable.

On the flipside, the grading companies have been shovelling far too much garbage through and passing it off as authentic, which is why I reject third-party grading (Beckett and PSA included) out of hand. I'll trust the opinion of any authenticator on this site any day of the week over those jokers.

Yep completely agree.. Ive known lots of items ive followed produced by well known forgers be passed by reputable tpa's... Ive even approached one so called very reputable tpa about a piece that was 100% fake and passed by them as genuine, only to be told theyd look into it.. Its still for sale with their loa 6 months later ! Disgraceful!
