A friend recently purchased this Jimi Hendrix signed item. Unfortunately, the original owner applied some type of clear coating to it to preserve the autograph. He doesn’t have the item yet and doesn’t know exactly what was used. I’m looking for opinions as to how much this affects its value. Thanks!

Hmm. Can't be undone. Serious bleed. I'd avoid/return TBH.

Yes, it is a problem item unfortunately - one to avoid.

On the other hand, w/o the laminiation we might not be looking at anything with that type of paper.
