DiMaggio Yankee Clipper Enterprises

Hello everyone! I just joined and am trying to find some certainty on a ball I’m considering purchasing for my Husband for Christmas. He’s been a die hard Yankees fan for 40 years and never owned an autograph piece. He’s had a particularly tough year after we lost his father to Covid and my 3 little boys and I are wanting to bring a smile to his face this Christmas!

There is a ball for sale that is Dimaggios signature with the inscription “Yankees clipper” on it. It has the yankee clipper enterprises sticker but no letter or anything else along with it. Now, I know absolutely nothing about this stuff and honestly didn’t realize how expensive it was lol So I definitely can’t afford to be ripped off!

Now to me, I see a lot of discrepancies in this ball compared to the signatures I’ve seen on here. There is somebody named James on here that said he once owned a ball exactly like the one I’m looking at. I’m wondering if somebody can let me know if this ball is a fake. I appreciate any of you just taking the time to read this.

I have already purchased a Paul oniell signed jersey for him (his fav player of all time) but it is PSA or JSA (one of those) and when I purchased I thought it was the best with my limited research of knowledge). I was worried but the man I purchased from is actually amazing and I decided I’m not worried at all!

Not sure on the signature, but for me I would much rather have it on a Rawlings Official Major League Baseball (not "Official League").

Thank you for the info! I know nothing about this stuff so I’m clueless lol it also has picture of joe painted on it, it looks like. I forgot to add that photo. So if you’re not sure on the signature then that probably means it’s fake?
