LAURENCE OLIVIER- Second Opinions (Any Help Appreciated)

Hello Everyone,

I am seeking to add a Genuine LO autograph to my collection. I already have a Vivien amongst others but I am unsure which out of the four options I'll attach, I should go after.

Anyone with experience in collecting Laurence Olivier autographs or SP's, please check this thread and let me know your thoughts.

Photo 1- 1945 Laurence Olivier SP (please don't mind the companies watermark)- the seller (Eaby- George-Houle-books-autographs 100% reviews)

Photo 2- Laurence Olivier from HD-history Direct (Item HFSID152683)

Photo 3- Laurence Olivier collab with Joan Fontaine rare, The seller (Regans Autographs.net)

Photo 4- Really nice piece, collab signature from 1951 with Vivien Leigh on 'Program' from History Direct (Item# HFSID 76408)

I appreciate anyone who helps out

Dan

Yes, my first sentence - "FOR ME..."

Is there an upside to a possible copy print signed boldly by Joan Fontain in black felt tip with blast contrast and an rather meek Olivier accomplished with 2 different ballpoint pens? When the goal is a really quality Olivier example? I'd love to hear it.

This is a waste of my time. Dan - if you have any questions or need help etc. just PM me.

I personally like it.  No need to justify that.  Nobody is the same. If we were, the world would be bloody boring.

It can never be considered "A" Material. Not with 2 inks and a meager scratchy signature overshadowed by Fontaine's contrast. and with 1 sig on the image and the other in the margin.

Dan was interested in quality vintage material. This Fontaine is not it IMO...not the magical confluence of authenticy, condition, quality original double weight stamped portrait, key photo or true candid exhibiting a clean, well contrasted and well placed vintage sig in fountain pen.

Hopefully properly discounted.

Further, if you tilt your screen back you'll see a funny pinkish pixelation around the Olivier sig on the Fontaine item and all about in the white margin only. Hmm.
