I tend to being positive about the sig. Letters and dynamics fit pretty well. The only thing that makes me wonder is the energy of both yours and Joe's signature. By 1972 and even more so in 1976 Hitchcock was an old and - what is more - ill person. The examples I know from that period of his life therefore are pretty shaky. This is the one I own (bought from Markus Brandes) from the same period:
But certainly one shouldn't be too overconcerned about that. I do know from Mother Teresa's sig that the shakyness of her writing strongly depended on her physical and healthy status of the very day. I saw autographs given months before her death that were clearly written whilst sigs from years before were shaky.
At the end of the day I would believe in your piece. Letters and dynamics look pretty good to me.

KaiMi has made this excellent point previously about a person's signature often varying even in the same period of their lives based upon the things every human being experiences. Examples: rushed for time, the space they were in physically or emotionally, formality vs. informality in a signing, etc.. It's a great insight that I've kept in mind more and more in helping form opinions on autographs.
