Found this on eBay and thinking of bidding on it, but wanted opinions on it before I did so. It isn't in the best condition however.

+1 to a degree, obviously. Frank is not rare.

I would say Frank isn't all too common either though. A lot of secretary signatures out there of his though.

Dylan, I would agree.  Frank is not as common as it may seem (especially signed photographs).   Ebay is flooded with forgeries and secretarials.  Even reputable auction houses accept some that are not right.

Yeah, even with the condition of this particular one, I would say I am willing to take the risk. The condition is the main bad thing, but I think it's still worth it as a piece of history.  It would be framed immediately if I got it, anyways.

Well, that's a mistake in my opinion. This must be heavily discounted or don't do it. This would be a VERY tough item to resell if need be. I would not touch it. The condition and crazing and creases/emulsion cracks are just too much with an '"invisible' signature so faded. What are the good points???

It is extremely damaged.

The only good selling point is that it is heavily discounted currently. It's at bidding and it's not even at 100 dollars. So, that's a huge plus for a Frank signature

It's definitely a personal call.

One thing I would point out is that this is a glossy photograph that seems to have a lot of glare in the provided image.  That can really distort.  You might ask the seller if they can take a pic. of it without a flash in a lower light.  Might give a more realistic idea of it.

I would not bother. This is not even B- material. More like a D. And a lower end D at that. The signature is faded and the condition is terminal. Etienne, you would buy this? You can't see it.

Well, my point is just that it's rather extremely cheap for what it is. And if it stays that low, I will probably get it. It is a personal choice, but Frank usually does not pop up without it costing 500-1000, most times.

Cheap price, that's what I thought. Not the best motivation, not here. This signature will not be visible in a frame from 2-3 away. There is not a single Quality present that is not affected. You will be getting a cheap item.

To me, this would just be a starter Frank signature for me, if I even do end up getting it. Something cheap and damaged until something else comes along.

Yeah, there are other photos attached to the listing with much less flash and light reflection. It doesn't look as bad without the flash and reflection, in my opinion.
